Omelets are one of my favorite foods to eat at breakfast. But how do they turn out so perfectly? I've tried many recipes and different methods but none have worked. So today, I want to share some tips and tricks with you so you can make your own delicious and fluffy omelets every morning.

It is important to know that eggs can be temperamental when making omelets. The eggs must be fresh from an organic source and kept at room temperature until they are ready to be cooked. If they are not kept cold enough, the whites won’t form properly. The yolks will also break down too quickly and become runny. Your omelets will look strangely colored if this happens. If you plan to cook the eggs right away, it is best to use room temperature eggs.

Another tip is to separate each egg before adding them to the saucepan. The yolk and white should not be mixed together as this can cause the omelet's curdle.

The bottom part of an egg that is added directly to the stovetop might be burned, which could cause a ruined texture in your omelet. Instead, put the egg in the microwave for 10 seconds before putting it into the pan. The microwave heat cooks your egg just right, without it becoming too soft.

Next, let's talk about mixing the eggs. You want to mix the eggs thoroughly before you add them. Turn the bowl upside down and grab the whisk to do this. Now shake the bowl vigorously. By doing this, the egg is thoroughly mixed with the air in the bowl.

The fun part is now - adding the milk to the mixture. Pour half the milk into the beaten egg mixture and then fold in the eggs. Do not worry if you see streaks of egg; they will disappear when the omelet is flipped.

After folding the eggs, place the pan on medium heat and wait for the oil to start sizzling. Once the oil begins to heat, add 1/4 cup butter and swirl the pan to coat it. The lid should be carefully opened. Sprinkle salt in the pan. A pinch of salt will prevent your omelet from sticking in the pan.

Cover the pan once the omelet is formed and allow it to cool completely. Flip the omelet upside down or with a spatula. Cook the opposite side for another minute. Take the omelet out of the pan and immediately serve.

This recipe works best using whole milk. Skimmed milk is also possible.
